Info Post
New York Fashion Week began on Thursday and I continue to dream of an elongated runway, stretching into the spotlight until a hasty stop at the feet of a frenzy of photographers, surrounded by chairs filled with the names that easily slip off of our tongues and the future faces of fashion that await us. I've never been to a runway show or a runway presentation, so it makes sense that my fashion obsession has driven me to such an imagination. The excitement of what is going on in the New York fashion scene overwhelms me, as I attend school feeling hollow, like my place is in those tents and not in a classroom.
Today is a humble Saturday afternoon, and I don my newly acquired vintage Chanel blouse for the first time as I prepare for a day in Soho. Paired with colored jeans from Topshop and my trusty combat boots from TJ Maxx, I'm ready for a day of fashion exploration, though maybe it's not quite what I wish I could be doing.

Vintage Chanel blouse, Madewell tank top, Topshop jeans, combat boots from TJ Maxx, Ariel Gordon necklace, J Crew headband.

I know the wait will be worth it when I finally receive an invitation to Lincoln Center. I'm determined to do anything I can to make that day come, because I am so enthralled by the magic that is these shows that I can't imagine asking for anything more.

xoxo
