Info Post
The Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala was held on Monday, May 2 in honor of the new Alexander McQueen Exhibit "Savage Beauty." Certainly some chose to honor the designer by wearing one of his frocks, but surprisingly few women did.
There was also a surprising lack of a color in a fashion season that was chock full of it. The dresses chosen, however, were beautifully glamourous and so fun to admire.
Below are my favorite colorful picks from the gala.

Anna Wintour in Chanel Haute Couture
Bee Shaffer in Balenciaga

Anna Wintour looks so glamourous here and her daughter, Bee, chose a dress in a rich wine color that looks fabulous with her skin tone.

Tom Brady
Gisele Bündchen in Alexander McQueen

Madonna in Stella McCartney

This color is stunningly elegant. Madonna looks fabulous.

Vera Wang in her own design
Mario Grauso

Words can't describe my feelings for this chartreuse shade. How beautiful!

Jennifer Lopez in Gucci

I love the color of the dress; the floral bolero is a bit much.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely in Burberry

Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein Collection
Francisco Costa

Margherita Missoni in Missoni
Joy Bryant in Missoni

Isla Fisher in Tory Burch

This brings to mind Anne Hathaway's Giorgio Armani Privé dress at the Oscars.

Isabel Lucas in Louis Vuitton

Kerry Washington in Escada

This is such an unusual choice of color for an evening gown, but it works so well here.

Cindy Sherman, Consuelo Castiglioni, Anouck Lepère, and Giovanna Battaglia, all in Marni

Jessica Igoe in Christian Cota with the designer

Ginnifer Goodwin in Topshop Unique

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci

Eva Mendes in Stella McCartney

Rashida Jones in Stella McCartney

Jeffrey Deitch

I had to finish off this post with Mr. Deitch. Have you ever seen a blazer like this? Fabulous!
