Chanel's resort 2012 collection could be defined as luxurious elegance. Garments were adorned with precious jewels and were impeccably made, resulting in glamourous and extravagant looks that had a light, summery feel and a vibe of relaxation nonetheless. The one element that the collection lacked was a solid uniting theme to bring the entire collection together. There were so many contrasts within the collection that it could have really been two or three different collections. Despite this, the looks were still stunning and beautiful, living up to the Chanel name.

I love that color is used not only as the focus of a garment, but also as a decoration to add to an otherwise plain piece, such as the dresses detailed with colorful triangles. Of course, when color is the main attraction it is simply stunning, as seen in the penultimate look featured here, which has to be my favorite look from the collection.
Once again, Chanel can do no wrong.
