I'm pretty much a wuss when it comes to pain. I had my eyebrows waxed once and they were sore for 3 days. Maybe that's because I have bushes for eyebrows...but I think I prefer the bushes over the pain I get any time I move my eyebrows. That is such a small centralized location...I can't imagine what it would be like to wax my legs or underarms. It makes me shudder just thinking of it. My husband likes to gross me out by grabbing as much of his leg hair as he can and ripping it out. Gross. There are many women much stronger than I am though and who can tough out getting various parts of their body waxed, and I seriously do give props to you. Morgan is one of these women who can out tough me...she found a DIY Body Sugaring pin and decided to give it a go at home (which is one pin you will probably never see me try).

This site has 2 different recipes, full directions and helpful tips, along with a funny write-up.
Morgan decided to give it a go and gathered her supplies. She says, "I followed the second recipe and the house reeked of honey (I'm not a big fan). It took a couple hours for the glass jar to cool long enough to even touch it. Then it took another couple of hours to get the temperature of the mixture to be correct. Then when I finally got it down right, the mixture was EVERYWHERE! I could barely get my spoon in the jar (I didn't have a popsicle stick) plus it was dinner time and I barely had any left over. So the next day I go to the store (which is not close since I live out in the "country") to buy more honey. This time the mixture heated too quickly and wasn't looking the same as the day before. So a few hours later, the stuff on top was cooled but I must have dipped the spoon too far in where it was A Lot warmer! Everything was such a mess I just threw the jar away. This is my leg 3 days later after my youngest daughter popped the blister (ow!)"
The Pinstrosity
Ew and ow all at once.
So pretty much all Morgan and I have to say here is to make sure the sugar mixture has had time to cool before applying it to your skin. Blistering your skin is one way to get rid of hair temporarily, but I'm pretty sure it's not the look you want to go for and that there are better ways. Be careful when you try these home beauty regimens and remedies.
