Hello Friends, I’m finally ready to share my new kitchen. This post will have lots of pictures so it may take some time to load. I love my new kitchen. I hope you do too.
Feel free to Pin any of my pictures.
Remember the before?
Not really a bad kitchen just blah. I had a vision of a French Manor kitchen. A little bling, a little shabby, and a lot lovely.
In my mind’s eye I could see tin ceiling tiles, a farm sink, distressed cabinets, and chandeliers.
Before
I wanted a look that seemed to have happened over time. So my hardware on my cabinets starts on the top cabinets with glass knobs, then on the drawers I put cup pulls that were black and I painted them Paris Gray and distressed them. The bottom cabinets have black wrought iron pulls.
The pulls I painted were not sealed so they would continue to distress.
Do you remember the eat in side of my kitchen?
Again not so bad but very uninspired and cluttered with too much furniture.
Now I love coming into my kitchen! It makes me smile and is so relaxing. My curtains are from Bed, Bath, & Beyond and I was so excited when I saw them as they were exactly what I wanted! I had thought I was going to have to drag out the sewing machine, which I can use but hate to. lol. By the way the curtains are actually shower curtains. The sheers are from Wal-Mart.
The flooring is by Allure in Cherry.
I’ll be sharing how I refurbished this table and chairs in a later post.
My wrought iron chandelier I found on E-bay. The flush mount chandelier and the tear drop one over the sink are from Lowe’s.
I hope you read my post on upgrading your stock cabinets by closing them in and adding architectural elements like I have done on mine. If not you’ll find that post here.
I have never enjoyed my view of the cooking porch and the lake more.
Who said task lighting had to be hidden or ugly? I found these on my trip last year to Tennessee.
I still have a few things I want to do and when I finish them I’ll be sure to share them with you. Oh yes, my budget was $3,000 to $4,000 and I went over that a little because I chose a more expensive refrigerator and curtains. I also decided to carry the new flooring on into the laundry room. I spent right at $4500.
Getting ready to go to Canton, Texas to the First Monday Trade Days.
